The day I discovered Flame Broiler is hereby known on my calendar as "Hallelujah Day". Because all of the yum, always. So if you're watching your calories, I definitely recommend coming here. Not only is the mini bowl just enough to tide you over, but you can get it in a variety of combinations. My favorite combination is the half-and-half. It's a chicken and beef many bowl with rice, either brown or white. The meat taste fantastic-I don't know how the season it, but it's absolutely delicious. It's great with the magic sauce and hot sauce too! This particular location is extremely clean and the service is super fast! No complaints here! Love this healthy little lunch on the go!

I run in here when the wifey wins the food argument because I want Yoshinoya, so I acquiesce because I guess it's a healthier version. Usually get the teriyaki bowls(with brown rice) and we usually get a side of veggies; but this place can get rather expensive. Said items totaled $11...see why I would rather go to Yoshinoya? =P Same taste as any other Flame Broiler I've had, so nothing out of the ordinary there. Always get the Magic Sauce, and mix it up with the hot sauce and you have a manifique mix. Servers here are always very polite and have not yet messed up our order. Parking is pretty open, so no problem there.

I wish I could leave 0 stars Still the worst flame brolier in San Gabriel valley. They take no pride in there food and take the cheapest way possible. Why is the chicken so dark? Why doesn't the broccoli taste like broccoli? It has a very weird taste Why does the magic sauce have a after taste? The soda is very watered down. Be careful when putting a lid on because they but the cheapest lids ever made. It spilled in my car. I am very disappointed. A couple years ago I had tried the grossest tasting meat here, I gave it another shot. Biggest waste of money.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The Service And Ambiance Is So Clean And Comfortable, Everyone Behind The Counter Is So Hardworking And Down To Earth And Great, It Totally Has A Feel Of A Cozy Ma And Pa Shop To It. I Ordered The Mini Angus Bowl With Veggies For An Additional $.50 Today, How Awesome Is That That The Upgrade Is Totally Reasonable And Within A Cost-Friendly Margin. If You Don't Want To Eat Gigantic Portions All The Time Because You Recently Divorced Your Gym For Headache Inducing Reasons Like Me, Come Here It's Perfect For You To Restore And Relax!!! And They're The Only Restaurant In The Entire Plaza That Has TOOTHPICKS, Big Push To Shove Brownie Points For Me :0) Who Enjoys Awkwardly Picking Their Teeth With Their Fingers After A Meal, Especially If You're On A First/Blind/Spontaneous Date?? I Don't, I Like To Feel Neat And Organized And In Control, So Food For Thought For You To Think About

I used to be a big fan of flame broiler.. I don't know what happened. Today I got the chicken and angus steak plate but the chicken wasn't as great as it used to be. The angus steak was super dry and hard... It didn't taste much like angus steak. The portions are big but.. Quality over quantity. My favorite part were the oranges lol

What is this place is it a smoked teriyaki chicken ? Only consumed what they call fresh chicken because I was starving but left half of the brown rice which is completely unusual as I love my carbs. Bottom line is I received a few coupons in the mail and decided what the heck it's not as good as waba but let's change it up, we shared a chicken and a beef bowl, the chicken was a dark color like it had been marinated in a soy teriyaki sauce of some sort, the flavor was of a smoke, NOT good. The beef, well it was almost jerky style, if it was a little thinner and drier it would have been decent jerky, the flavor was not good and the dryness did not help. The brown rice was ok but had taken on the smoked flavor from the meats so it was not good either. This review is for chicken and beef bowls with brown rice. I will stick with WABA which I believe is less expensive and much tastier!!!!

I always get the chicken bowls at Flame Broiler. I went to this particular one a few times, and I can honestly say not all Flame Broilers are as bad as this one. The chicken is really bad, dark meat. It's sad, but the other Flame Broilers I've been to are actually great.

This location has had great service every time I've been here. Food is good. I like to get a pump of the magic and a little of the hot sauce (kinda vinegary). I like the beef over the chicken, and you can also do an all veggie bowl as well. Also...Bronco ID's get drinks for free :) I don't think they are doing the stamp card thing anymore. I usually don't pop in late during closing time, but I had just gotten out of class, hungry, and it was four minutes to close. The lady still helped us with a smile and was super friendly.

  • Michael K.

The bald guy with glasses and an accent has good customer service skills. They overuse the sauce while cooking and under-fill the bowls sometimes

I usually come here after hitting up the 24 hour fitness across the street. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food has always been fresh.

Nothing special. Meat was dry and bland. Service was good. It's the same as any other teriyaki bowl chain.

  • Lindsay D.

I really like this place. It's small inside and is almost always busy with Mt. SAC and Cal Poly right around the corner. The staff is always super nice and very attentive. I've had my meal messed up more than once (kitchen not cashier) and they fix it immediately. The manager is amazing; he makes sure you feel welcomed and taken care of. I frequent this location often and will be returning. I only wish they cut their oranges differently, and got oranges with no seeds.

  • Amy P.

I can't complain about the service here. Always quick & friendly. CAL POLY STUDENTS: Show your bronco ID for a free drink =) You can't really go wrong with anything ordered here .. EXCEPT!!! the "chicken salad" The newly added item on the menu - not sure if this is for all locations or just this particular one. But this salad was a JIP!! It was a cole-slaw looking salad. The same one they give as a side with a plate in a regular bowl with chicken added on top of it ..... um???! DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY FOR YOURSELF FLAME BROILER !!!!

  • Whitney R.

Absolutely Horrible Service. The woman behind the counter was rude, got my order wrong TWICE, charged me too much, and wouldn't refund my money. I have been to several Flame Broilers and have NEVER had this kind of treatment. DO NOT GO TO THIS FLAME BROILER. On a Health note ... the woman behind the counter was sneezing, and wiped her face on her shirt, then kept working. I'm pretty sure that's against health code. The floors were dirty, and the table tops were sticky. I will not be going back to this trash whole again.

I think this place has one of the best fast food chicken teriyaki places in SoCal. I love to add more of the magic house sauce to some of my rice to make it more desirable to eat. Otherwise rice has no flavor to it all. Fast service and freshly cooked veggies meats.

  • Arianna C.

My first time here as it is near my school, Mount SAC. It is a small location but is kept up quite well. It could definitely better. While the food is so-so. It is absolutely nothing to be amazed about nor is it horrible. I got the Angus Beef Veggie bowl. The veggies were not as soft as I had hoped but definitely could be better. The beef was somewhat dry and the rice was a little dry. The service was okay because there was only one person taking orders. Definitely wouldn't say it's a big hit but not too shabby.

My review of Flame Broiler is based on two visits I have accrued in the past few months, with the most recent being about a week ago. Visit #1- The works plate with white chicken + brown rice: with tax, it runs about $9. The rice substitute does not run you extra nor ordering all white chicken meat. Per the Health Facts flier that I grabbed on my most recent visit, this meal comes in at a lean 520 calories, compared to the 820 for the default white rice and mixed chicken meat. The meal got me full, but I see the price as being a little high when compared to similar restaurant chains. Visit #2- The rib plate with brown rice: with tax, it comes in at $8-$9. The ribs were essentially flavorless. I had to douse Sriracha over them to make the meal appetizing. No issue with the brown rice as it was cooked perfectly. Veggies were also on point. In each instance, I called in my order and they always had my order ready to be bagged and go. The location gets busy during lunch time and if your dinning in, especially in front of the house, it can be annoying with the constant foot traffic. I conclude by saying Flame Broiler offers nice choices that cater to any health conscious individual. But for the prices and the uninspired meat with lack of flavor, I don't see myself being a frequent patron of Flame Broiler.

Never had a problem here. The food is always good. The place is clean and the employees are courteous. Chicken veggie bowl with brown rice and a lil hot sauce is my favorite. Usually see people here after gym work out including myself.

  • Randolph Z.

Someone left a full bowl on the garbage can outside the door. First flame broiler experience and couldn't be happier! It all seemed pretty fresh and the magic sauce was delicious. Can't speak to the price since I garbage-picked it. This is also my first experience with trickle-down economics. Would a Romney vote have ensured more experiences like this?

  • Bryan L.

I work near by this location. I also have one near my house and been to many different flame broiler, but by far this location is the best. The one by my house is never busy so you think it would take that long to get your food, and they alway want to charge me more for the same thing I order here. At this locatiom, the manager and owner are always nice to their customers. The service is fast, the chicken always came out perfect. At other location, they give small portion of meat and chicken. The chicken sometime diced to small or big and burnt. This place the portion is perfect and the food is good.

  • Larry H.

We were so disappointed by this Flame Broiler. After finding two chicken bones in our food, I brought this to the attention of the Cashier and her attitude immediatly was 'we do not cut the chicken here, not our fault'. When I said I wanted to speak to a manager there was none and she said she would tell the owner, however there was no level of attempt on her part to make up in some way for the chicken bones in the food. Needless to say the veggies we got instead of the fruit was stone cold and the meat was extra thick and very chewy. This place needs to be mystery dined.....Big disappointment.

  • Aaron A.

My favorite choice for a well rounded "to go" meal. Service is always consistently good, cashiers are very nice and attentive, and food is on par with other flame broilers I have visited. I purposely go to this location instead of the waba grill on lemon street which is closer to my house. My usual order: chicken bowl, brown rice and onions.

Since the food here is pretty much the same at any flame boiler(meh.. but acceptable when hungry) this review will be based on the service. I kind of have to think that the previous reviewer is correct: the manager does the positive reviews. I've been there a few times and each time the manager has been lifeless and unpleasant.

    (1)
  • Alex L.

+++DON'T BELIEVE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS, I HEARD THE MANAGER DOES THEM+++ I've been going to this flame broiler for months. I've been there a bunch of times. This last time was the worst experience ever. We use the stamp cards at different locations and hav

This is the only Flame Broiler I've tried and I'd have to say that it is very disappointing. Having never tried the place, the vibe that I picked up was that it is a much fresher version of Yoshinoya. I will never try it again. Both the beef and chicken are flavorless and rock hard. Honestly, I've had better chicken or beef from people who didn't know how to cook at all.

  • Donald W.

Flame Broiler is not good. It isn't worth all the hype. I think I can get better Chicken Teriyaki Bowls at Waba Grill. Last time I went here, I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl, and I remembered their chicken was dry and their vegetables were not fresh. I also think their portions are smaller than what I would've liked. So basically, I paid $7 for a Bowl that had dry chicken, dull vegetables, and worst of all, it didn't even fill me up. I don't think I would be coming here again.

This location is very good. The food , the service , fast and friendly. After a nice work out at 24 hrs. fitness next door...you can come and refill up all those boost. The layout of the place is the same as any other flame broiler....plenty of seats. The portion of the food was a bit small since i ordered a plate combo with avocado. Again , i forgot to mention that the beef at all flame broiler seem to be super dry....not like the one at yoshinoya. But their chicken is delicious.

I was first introduced to Flame Broiler at UCR during the college days. The flamebroiler there was THE BEST.. everything was perfect.. well maybe the beef was a bit too salty, but besides that, it was my go-to place. I would always get a beef, chicken, or mixed plate + extra meat. It's a hell of a bargain and the plate was ALWAYS packed at the Flame Broiler in Riverside. Well, I finally tried the flame broiler here despite the bad reviews and here are my thoughts: - Customer service is alright, not the best but not the worst - No charging for brown rice? YAYUH! - They have angus beef now.. this is new. The taste is pretty good, tastes like super sweetened teriyaki marinade, but combined with sriracha, it's pretty good - Same price for chicken & beef. I usually get the chicken since it's cheaper and tastes just as good. Since they're the same price, it would be more cost-efficient to get the beef (if you like beef that is) - Stingy, stingy, STINGY branch If you want the best bang for your buck for a healthy meal, get the brown rice and get extra green onions. The thing about this branch that sucks though, is that they're really stingy with their portions.. unless mine was just like that. I saw other bowls and they seemed like the right amount of meat. I ordered a beef plate with extra beef, when I got it, it looked like just one portion of meat.. rice was still visible and I felt ripped off. I'll try this branch again to see if it was a mistake or not, but honestly, this place isn't that bad.. at least the taste is good.

The chicken was hard to chew and the rice was hard as rock. A total no-go for future reference.

  • Jazmin E.

I love the service here. I've frequented other Flame Broilers, but this one is my absolute favorite. The quality of the chicken is always fantastic. Clean environment, clean restrooms, and friendly staff. The number one reason why I continue to go here is the chicken and their delicious secret sauce! The sauce is amazing. It's crack for chicken. The customer service here is always perfection. I always get the chicken bowl with brown rice. So good!

    (5)
  • Regina L.

My family and I enjoy this location best! It is clean and the food is always fresh and delicious, great choice when you want to eat on the healthier side. My son and I like the chicken veggie with brown rice and my hubby orders the works, chicken, beef and veggies. The employees are pleasant and the owner ( Mrs) is very friendly and always makes her way over to say hello, busy or not.

  • Laura S.

I come here when I am desperate for cheap food with lots of meat. Flame Broiler is a chain so the food you get will be eh... The meals always has the meat, rice and greens. It's better than Yoshinoya and Panda Express but it's not amazing like San Gabriel Valley foods. SERVICE: The girl who I usually see is this cute little white girl... who speaks Spanish fluently and perfectly. I was so amazed. She spoke with the staff and she told me she studies Spanish in High school. Wow. LOCATION: Near 24 hour fitness, Michael's Petsmart... all the places I go frequently! PRICE: More expensive than those other "asian" chains but I believe it's worth it bc it's better FOOD: They offer brown rice Their greens are alright Meat - they give you a lot OVERALL: Not bad, not amazing

    (3)
  • Trevor O.

If you're looking for mediocre quality asian fast food or are eating on a budget (I.e you college students out there), then you've come to the right place. You get what you pay for. It's not great but it's not bad either. I'd come again to eat some decent chicken or beef dishes in between work or classes. To all you people who are giving this place negative reviews: if you want 5 Star Quality and Service, go to a 5 Star Restaurant. Those who are giving this place 1-2 stars based on "quality of food," get off your high horse.

  • Jerome W.

I don't want to brag or anything, but I consider myself a Flame Broiler connoisseur. As a matter of fact, I have been to countless Flame Broilers. And what I'm about to say is true...Not all Flame Broilers are equal. Some give more chicken, less rice, better veggies, softer brown rice, etc. This FB honestly isn't horrible, but compared to others I've been to--it's rather underwhelming. Their chicken isn't fresh. It tastes like it's been marinading for 3 days, precooked, and reheated. Now, now....some people may beg to differ...but do me a favor. Try another flame broiler first, then come here. You will be able to tell. FB, you can't fool me. I know your chicken ain't fresh!

    (2)
  • Lesley C.

Yes...this place is fresh and healthy but it's most definitely NOT worth the price especially since the bowl is usually more than 2/3-full of rice with a few pieces of chicken and/or veggies. After you pack on the sweet teriyaki sauce and other sauces, you take the notch down for the healthiness of the meal. Not worth it. I would rather go to Chiptole to spend my $8....and can even save some money because a chicken burrito (packed with veggies) is cheaper.

    (2)
  • Ann P.

Pros: My kids love it! Healthier and tastier than Yoshinoya. - Accepts phone orders Cons: You have to pay for a side of kimchi if you do take out, but it's free when you dine-in.

    (4)
  • Caleb F.

Very efficient on the calories. GOOD: The staff is friendly and super nice, ready to help. Food is ready with 5 minutes of ordering. The caloric rating is posted next to each menu item. BAD: Kimchi is $2?? Well I don't go here specifically for kimchi anyway. FAV: Chicken Veggie Bowl.

***Please Note if someone said this place has excellent customer service they either work there or own it***** STAY AWAY This is one of the worst Flame broilers, the individuals primarily management are extremely rude.I eat at flame broiler at least twice a week, and never have I experienced individuals being rude, due to the menu. The first two times of rudeness I let slide, but NO more. I purchased a small Mini chicken and wanted to purchase extra chicken. I was advised that the chicken has to be placed in the bowl. I never buy it that way, They claim every container is accounted for and they cant put it on the side, because that is considered a side order. WTF well why do you have the option of extra chicken. This location is MONEY hungry and apparently the individuals need to take a class on politeness. Do yourself a favor "STAY AWAY" from this location. I guess the individuals that support this place don't understand that individuals here in America don't have to take rudeness, It's not okay!!! To Management: you just lost a ton of customers, word of mouth is either the best of worst advertisement for your business.

    (1)
  • Amy C.

This place sucks! For one it is overpriced. The food is just, "mehh!" and the portions are small for the price you pay. I prefer Waba Grill on the corner of Valley and Lemon. Food is much better and tastier. Prices are decent and there is more seating and good lighting. Ditch this place quick.

    (2)
  • Gerardo H.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Their food lacks flavor. Flavor that can't be added with their "magic" sauce or hot sauce. Overall it was alright. Not good, just alright and flavorless. But like I have said before... I'm not going back to this place.

  • Melissa G.

My friend from Nor Cal LOVES this place and visiting Flame Broiler was her #1 item on things to do in LA (she used to frequent the La Jolla location in college). After eating there TWO DAYS IN A ROW, she raved about it to all our friends, commenting that it exceeded her expectations. I'm convinced that if they opened a SF location, it would be sustained by her business alone. In terms of my review, Flame Broiler exceeded my (very low) expectations as well. (Very low due to a few botched early visits at this location and mediocre experiences with the LJ one.) The first day I ordered "the works" (chicken, beef, and veggies) with brown rice and was surprised at how savory the meat was. The second day, I stuck with a chicken veggie bowl and was once again pleased that the chicken was quite tasty and tender (usually chicken of this sort is pretty dry). Finally, I was impressed with the generous portions-- my bowl overfloweth! Only complaints are that the prices could be better for what you get and my friend mentioned that the kimchi was just aiight (try it for yourself though: there's a huge container at the utensil/condiment bar and we saw a bro heaping piles into a water cup). Thus, 3 stars for Flame Broiler. Thank you for making my bff so happy... and for not judging me for being there two days in a row.

It's nice to have one closer, don't have to drive to the Puente Hills/Hacienda area just to get my grilled chicken/beef/veggie fix. Yes, it's nice to have Yoshinoya, but Flame Broiler is a great and HEALTHIER alternative. The bowls are plenty, it's a lot of food crammed into a bowl! and it's packed to the rim and they even put a lid on it to contain it from spilling out. I went here for lunch yesterday, after a few hours of reading and practice exams... They were pretty quick to get the order in and out to me. DON'T FORGET THE SAUCE! A MUST! It's the cheese to the macaroni, it's the chili to the spaghetti, and so forth... it's ESSENTIAL so don't forget it! Got it? ;) I thank one of my best-est friends since I've known him through grade school for introducing me to this place.

  • Paolo L.

I like the one on Valley and Grand, and this tastes really similar. I'm digging the "healthy" alternatives. And I must say, the brown rice is really good actually. Usually get the chicken bowls with brown rice. Chicken's nice and good and while I'll admit it's not the same taste as Yoshinoya (that's the Filipino in me talking) it tastes just as good. And you get lots of meat. Which is nice and a different change of pace. Pricing is a bit high, but they currently have a lunch special that's $5 for a chicken bowl (no veggie) and a fountain drink. The guy up front has always been courteous and friendly. I'm expecting to be there every now and then, since it's only a 3 minute drive from work. I will say this though, parking SUCKS. Parking sucked when it was an L&L before...and parking STILL sucks. The layout is horrid, and that's the only reason I'm taking off the star.

  • Ray T.

Healthy choice and tastes pretty good too. They have brown rice substitution.

  • Rosaline Z.

I actually really like flame broiler. I usually get their beef bowls with vegetables. I love how they are so health oriented. All of their meat are super lean and has no fat. I love how they broil their meat instead of throwing them in fatty oil. I usually put tons of their special teriyaki sauce. yum! Don't compare flame broiler with yoshinoya or Korean BBQ. It might not be as delicious, but hey it's definitely healthier. Their preparation is usually pretty quick as well. When the place isn't too crowded, it'll took about 3-4minute for your order to be ready. During lunch hour this place can be packed, and it might take 5 to 6 minutes for the staff to get your food ready

  • T. T.

Dropped in at this location for the first time tonight to grab a chicken & veggie bowl with white & brown rice plus green onion and I must say the cashier lady gave me the best customer service I've had ANYWHERE in a long time, and this at 9:30pm, near quitting time. The food is healthful compared to the crap I usually eat after work and the portions are generous enough to warrant repeat visits, though spaced apart. Just had to yelp her cuz she prolly made my dinner taste better!!!

  • andre t.

Worst lunch I ever had $6 wasted. The rice was not fully cooked. The chicken was hard. Service sucked. Just bad food i will never be going back there again.

  • Girard M.

"Flame On!" Okay, I'll have to admit, this place is better than your average Yoshinoya Beef Bowl. It's a bit more on the higher price point, with way too much rice IMHO ("Where's the beef/chicken?" commercial comes to mind). Overall, it's a helluva lot more healthier than your average fast-food joint! Thanks to lil sissy for introducing me to this place! Deuce-out!

  • Giao T.

Considering my review of the other Flame Broiler I visited, this one is a definite step up. This looks like a true franchised F.B. - many customers dining here for lunch, place looked clean and tidy, overall appearance looked in order, no missing signage. Food was okay - meat still a little tough. What's up with the Magic Sauce?? You do come out smelling like the smoke being released from the exhaust fans - you can see that from the roof as you walk from the parking lot. And lastly, prices are high for what you're getting. Bottomline, probably not going to come back, unless I had BOBO coupon... (yes, I am cheap. It's the inherent Asian in me).

    (3)
  • Andrew M.

I was tricked. The beef bowls here aren't really beef bowls. Or at least in the usual sense (as in they're not Japanese Gydon). Sadness. Oh well, gotta make the most of it, since I'm already here I guess.... The beef bowl here is more of a Korean BBQ beef bowl. Which was OK. Beef wasn't tough, marinade was decent, veggies weren't too soggy/overcooked, rice was done right. Eh. Still, my mom could make better. Meh. Pass. Service, cleanliness, and price were good. Food very meh.

  • Nancy Q.

good healthy-ish food. healthy to me. I got chicken bowl: brown rice, veggies, teriyaki flavor chicken was yum. because it's not process food I got full half way through my bowl (which is rare), if I ate at olive garden or some other chain I'd probably be able to eat more because the process food takes more to flll the body. Don't forget ur college i.d.=free beverage

  • Christine C.

    I love coming here after a work out to get a small meal. They added a small portions on the menu which I think its wonderful because I cant finish a big bowl anyways. The downside would be that the small portions does not come with veggies and if I do want to order a size veggie it would be 3.45? Added together it would cost more if I order the bowl. Love how there are healthier options out there (;

I love me some teriyaki chicken! Well, I love me some chicken in general. I'm trying to eat more healthy now that I'm getting older and trying to lose a few extra pounds. Ugh...darn metabolism! What I like about this place is that you can have flavorful chicken alongside some veggies. I'm really not that picky of an eater. I came during lunch and there was a line. So, the manger, I assume he was the manager, came out from the kitchen to help take orders. I placed my order for a chicken and veggie bowl with extra chicken. Once my order was ready an employee had bagged it for me and I double checked it to see if my order was correct. I looked and all I saw in my bowl was chicken. So, I asked her if my veggies were on the bottom of the chicken. She asked the manager and he said I didn't order veggies. He then made this grumbling disgruntled sound and put my veggies on side and told her to just give it to me. Uh...what a stinky attitude! Especially coming from someone in charge! As I walked out I looked at my receipt and saw that I did order the chicken AND veggie bowl. Man, that manager was such an A$@! I would have easily given this place 3 stars, but with that poor customer service I had to deduct 1 star.

  • Ali E.

The food at Flame Broiler is usually very good, but not at this location. The beef was chewy and not fresh. The chicken wasn't much better. I would have returned it if I were dining in, but since I ordered to go, it was too much of a hassle to return it.

"Wanna have lunch?" "I'm on a diet." "I know a place!" -scene- Enter: young duo, appetites in tow. Two half & half bowls with green onions and brown rice please. Verdict: I preferred the beef. To be quite frank, if this place weren't health conscious- it'd be getting a big fat single star. But since I was able to maintain my waistline, I'm giving it a break. The meat needs a bunch of "magic sauce" to be considered classically edible. But at less than 400 calories, I'll throw on a happy face and call it a day.

WOWW!!! Food was amazing! I'm on a diet, and I know this place is helping out with it so well. It's located right next to the gym which is perfect for me, and on top of that the food is extremely healthy! *Chicken bowl, all white meat, Brown rice, extra green onions* fills me up every time, and don't forget. . . It's healthy. Service is great, area is very clean, there is someone always someone cleaning up, food comes quick, and on top of the food coming quick it's all freshly made the moment you get there. Workers are very nice, music is safe for children, prices may be a little high(4$-7$), but its worth the amount and quality of food that you are going to eat. 10 out of 5 stars! Place is amazing, as expected from a Christian eating spot! ***WIFI WILL BE COMING SOON I ASKED***

I'm torn! Really friendly and fast service, but the food was sub-par. It didnt even taste grilled, came smothered in sauce (i've always been served meat that didnt have sauce) and veggies tasted "fishy".... you didnt get to smell that lovely bbq grill smell walking up to the place... has me wonderin' I hope they bring their food up to their service standards

Unlike Yoshinoya, the vegetables from Flame Broiler are real and fresh ... not an unusual neon green. So you don't have to question how safe it is to eat the vegetables. Unlike Yoshinoya, Flame Broiler packs the meat into your bowl or plate. So you don't have to question if you got ripped off. This place is good and makes me feel like I'm eating healthy. Chicken is delicious. Beef is alight. Vegetables are fresh. Plenty of rice and it's cooked well. Minor negative is this red-orange "Magic sauce" sauce you can get on the side (near the napkins, forks, and such). It tastes like Lucas Mexican candy mixed in water. It is sweet, spicy, and salty. I love Lucas candy, btw, but not as a sauce on my meat.

I came here to have lunch with a friend who's gluten intolerant. They said if you leave out the sauce, the bowl is basically gluten free. They don't charge you extra with brown rice but they will charge more if you ask for white meat on your chicken bowl. Dark meat is a lot tastier anyway. I don't think one should ask for much coming to a fast food place so I gave it a 4-star rating. If you are looking for an even more affordable place, look for Jinza in Pomona. It's 5 min away from this Flame Broiler and it offers a chicken bowl with white rice for $3.75, $1 extra for brown rice. yelp.com/biz/jinza-teriy…

This place is good! i come here for lunch every once in a while and i always order the chicken bowl with brown rice. I LOVE how you can choose if you want brown or white rice. I dont usually opt for the veggies cuz i'd rather just eat mah chicken! This place is very new so its clean. There's plenty of seating even during the busy lunch hour. They have seats indoors and out. My chicken has never been burnt like other reviewers have wrote. I've eaten at many different flame broiler locations but i like this place cuz its sooo clean! and i love how they have that cool iced tea dispenser with like 4 different ones to choose from! this place also has self serve kimchee and jalapenos. their jalapenos are BOMB here!! i eat one with every bite. Never TOO spicy and always fresh and crunchy! i LOVE it! If you order the bowl its hard to mix the sauce and get to the rice cuz theres so much chicken! so what i do is grab the covers for the bowls (they leave em out on the counter so u can help yourself to as many as you want..i use them to put the jalapenos on too!) and dump most ur chicken on the cover so u can mix some of ther "magic sauce" and hot sauce to your rice. its WAAY easier to eat this way (; I've enjoyed everytime i came here for lunch and i will continue coming here for lunch in the future. Im probably here at LEAST once or twice a month. so yummy and healthy! and super filling! i can never finish the whole thing in one sitting!

Cashier was very friendly, waiting time wasn't bad. In a pretty nice shopping center!

The people here are really friendly. I always get the Chicken bowl with brown rice and white meat. Although recently I discovered Jinza bowl down the street and have since then stopped coming here as much

The Flame Broiler left me satisfied beyond belief! I was wary of going here, as my wife suggested it as a "healthy" change to Chick-Fil-A or wherever else we might have eaten that fateful night. We split a 'Works' bowl and neither of us were unsatisfied with the portions. I'm not big into veggies so I have opted for the chicken or beef bowl since that first visit. I enjoyed Flame Broiler three or four times that first week of having tried it - it's seriously that good. Also, you have the option of switching out brown rice for the white rice and you can order all white meat chicken, which is an easy (and delicious) way to shave off additional calories, albeit for a small surcharge. Don't leave off the magic hot sauce (or magic teriyaki sauce, if that's what you're into). The name suits the sauces well because the taste is simply magical. Lastly, this place is open until 10 pm, so if you plan a night of debauchery right, you can order a bowl close to 10, get your drink on and have an amazing meal waiting for you that you won't completely regret having eaten the next morning. I haven't done this yet but a boy can dream.

First and foremost, I would like to mention that there is NOTHING magical about the "MAGIC" sauce. It's slightly watered down teriyaki sauce. So anyway I usually order the bowls. I've tried the chicken, beef and vegetable bowl and also the chicken/vegetable bowl. You can substitute white rice for brown for the people wanting to intake complex carb etc. I like coming here after working out so I don't feel bad!

Fast food korean bbq?! And it's healthy? Color me intrigued. You can smell the grilling smoke when you walk in which is understandable since it's a small place to begin with. The decor screams, "My food is healthy! It's good for your heart! Your meal comes with a fruit! Who does that? Only healthy restaurants, that's who!" Ordered the chicken/beef plate and the "works" plate (chicken, beef, ribs). I open the boxes at home and I find out that they gave me 2 of the same orders (chicken/beef), except the other plate, "the works," had more of the beef. Minus one star for not getting an order right. Come on now, how hard is it when you only have 3 kinds of meat on the menu. Not cool. As for taste and quality, for Asian-style fast food, the food isn't drenched in a teriyaki or orange sauce and it definitely doesn't leave you with a greasy feeling at the end , so that's a good thing. After I was done, I wasn't really craving for more of it. That's either the magic of the "healthy food" or it just deserves 3 stars.

2.5 stars, I'd prefer. It was a fine bowl, I suppose, loaded with white rice, cabbage, some carrot slices, a bit o broccoli, and a chicken/beef combo. I don't eat teriyaki type bowls often. This one, luckily, wasn't too saucy--the rice at the bottom had absorbed a lot in some places. The only problem I had was that the meat was a little dry. Some of the beef was so dry that it was breaking up into iddle biddle pieces. And bigger pieces had an almost jerky quality to them. Not that I don't love me some jerky. The "magic sauce" is apparently a teriyaki sauce. The "hot magic sauce" is apparently like Crystal or Frank's Red Hot (I love that stuff but it was weird to discover that it was inhabiting my little plastic cup after I dunked a chunk of chicken. And they have sriracha for turning up the fire, and which helped me enjoy the meal more. For that and a large drink it was just over 8 bucks. Pretty filling. Fast service.

The first time I had Flame Broiler in Fullerton, it was amazing. The beef and chicken bowls were delicious, great deals, and healthy. However, there is unfortunately no consistency across all Flamebroiler restaurants, and this restaurant in the City of Industry in particular is an extreme example of that. Like a previous Yelper mentioned, the beef is kind of like jerky, and it just crumbles. The chicken is horrific. Unlike other Flamebroilers, which serve tasty, fresh chicken which is cooked and then layered with teriyaki sauce, this restaurant seems to marinade the chicken in teriyaki sauce before cooking. Not only does the final product look unedible, but I'm sure this is done to mask the dryness of their chicken. Soggy on the outside, plywood on the inside. I assume Flamebroiler is a franchise, so my word out to their corporate office is: get your quality control up to par. That's how all the big chains became successful, and that's why I'm very skeptical walking into any Flamebroiler.

I would say I stop by 3-4 times weekly. The service is great every time I come here. Usually order the chicken-veggie bowl or works bowl, extra green onions with brown rice but new to the menu are the rib bowl/rib veggie bowl that I've yet to see at other flame broilers. The portions are sizable, the chicken is always juicy, the veggies are fresh compared with other FB restaurants and most importantly the bowls here are the perfectly-balanced meal for an individual trying to get fit. Definitely a lunch-time staple of mine.

I am quite disappointed with this place. The vegetables contain a few pieces of cabbage, a bit of broccoli, and chunks of carrots that are too thick and hard to bite into. The beef is almost burnt and dry, so I guess they try to cover that by putting more 'magic sauce' over it, making it even more saltier. It's decent, but it's definitely not among one of the good ones I've been to.

if you really want to eat healthy.. u should be cooking at home. i do respect what these guys are trying to offer.. but as a matter of taste, how can i give a high rating for bland food? however im going to give an extra star for the fact that they offer a condiment thats related, if super remotely, to kimchee. its a chinese cabbage condiment flavored mostly with sugar and vinegar with a hint of chili.

Supposedly a substitute for Yoshinoya. The meat is dry-- the service and cleanness about the same as Yoshinoya-- which just means bad. Tries to pull it off as healthy, but fails to hit the mark with all of its wordy mumbo-jumbo pasted on the walls.

I have eaten at other Flame Broilers and love their food. This particular franchisee does not know how to cook - the chicken was so overcooked my friend thought it was beef. I will never eat at this particular location ever again.

A nice clean place to have meal, good prices too. If you don't like bowls with rice you should loo elsewhere.

This was my first visit to flame broiler and I was satisfied and happy with the meal. I got the works bowl which was delicious!! There was a lot of cabbage in it though! jeezus. lol. Oh and you have a choice of brown or white rice. I opted for brown rice, tried to keep it somewhat healthy since I tend to break my "diet" on the weekends! Maybe ill go back there again this week for lunch and try something else. Beef and chicken was yummy. im not a picking eater at all, i love FOOOOOD and the service was A-OK!

Hooray now I don't have to drive myself out to Hacienda Heights to get my Flame Broiler fix. Portions seem a little small for a Flame Broiler. Also this place needs to get some more ventilation going on. I feel like there's a 4th of July powwow up in here. *BUT* that magic sauce truly is magic................

Great.. Just Fantastic. Food came in a huge portion and price was extremely adequate. I really enjoyed their service.. I think the cashier.. Phil? Will? couldn't really get the name.. (They need name tags) was efficient and so nice. He brought our food to our tables and even made sure everything tasted right... I didn't expect that from a fast food restaurant. I told him that the chicken was a bit burnt so he brought out ( i was completely nit picking) a new bowl free of charge.. just WOW. Awesome service, Awesome pricing... Awesome people. Thank you Phil... or Will!

Meh. I've experienced better is truly a true statement. If you want a chicken bowl, go to jinza terriyaki down the street. Their bowl is 3.50 (much less than 5.40 and includes tax) and wayyyyy better (not manufactured food as I like to call it). Meaning, it's not made with terriyaki made somewhere else and bottled. Their chicken was not grilled like jinza and seemed like it contained dark meat instead of white meat. I prefer white meat when it comes to my chicken bowls. (dark meat is cheaper than white meat) I will not be going back.
